[VIDEO] Diving in Pescador Island, Moalboal, Philippines

Only 3 hours of driving from Cebu City in the Visayan islands, Moalboal is very famous within scuba divers for its dive site of Pescador Island. It was my first scuba diving stop in my Island hopping tour in the Visayas, but definitely not the least interesting. Moalboal is very famous for its scuba diving site of Pescador Island and its big shoals of sardines. Some are calling it as well the sardine run such as in South Africa (let’s be honest it’s not really the same scale). At the time of my visit, sardines were all along the shore of Panagsama jumping everywhere around the boat but not in Pescador. According to the locals, the latest typhoons could be the reason of this change. Yet you will still find a good selection of the best of scuba diving in the Philippines and it’s easily accessible for beginners : Turtles, Shoal of fish, Lion fish, shrimp, Moray eel, Fire urchin, Long banner fish, Butterfly fish, etc. Pescador Island also include a beautiful underwater cavern, the “Cathedral” dive spot, with amazing blue glow once you are inside. I had the chance to visit and thus it is featured in my video. Enjoy!

The cavern in Pescador called “Cathedral” was quite nice to dive too. You see more of it you can check my video about Pescador Island. […]
