The Verzasca River was on my European scuba diving bucket list for a long time. All of the three dive sites, the Pozzo dei Salti, where an ancient roman bridge crosses the river, is by far the most famous. In the summer holidays, the Verzasca Valley is a very touristic and crowded place. To be the first one on site and enjoy this beautiful crystal clear dive for ourselves, we woke at 6.30 am and arrived at 7 am. As it was a bit early, at the beginning of the dive, the sun wasn’t shining yet, and then you can see in the video the sun coming up and the light changing. A magical experience for experienced divers only due to the planning and logistics required to dive in the Verzasca River.
